How do I search using natural language?
You can enter a phrase just as you would describe it to a friend or coworker and press Enter. CrowdRiff’s AI analyzes all assets, whether they come from social trackers or manual uploads, and generates detailed descriptions. These descriptions include elements such as emotions, landmarks, colors, seasons, camera perspectives, and existing metadata, making assets easier to find and organize.
How do I search using metadata instead?
You can also search by selecting metadata options that appear beneath the search bar, such as locations, followed accounts, hashtags, usernames, authors, filenames, and keywords. When you choose a metadata option, the search returns assets that are exactly tagged with that value.
Can I combine natural language and metadata search?
Absolutely! Start by selecting the metadata you want to filter by, then add any additional phrase or term in the search bar to further refine your results.
How do I clear a search?
To clear your current search, click the X button in the search bar. Your results will reset automatically.
Can I see my recent searches?
Yes! Clicking the search bar displays a list of your recent searches. This list is unique to you and is not shared with other members of your team.
💡 Pro tip
To clear your recent searches, clear your browser’s cache.
Add locations to your assets to make them easier to find in Maps, Search & Discovery, and Galleries.
❗Heads up
Metadata searches return exact matches only. This is different from Classic, which supported “contains” searches.
The search bar does not support NOT queries to exclude results.
Saved searches will be supported in the new experience in a future update. For now, continue using saved searches in the Classic platform.
AI-generated keywords from the Classic experience do not carry over to the new experience. They remain searchable and visible in Classic only.
