How do I connect Instagram and Facebook to CrowdRiff?

Only Instagram Business accounts can be connected. Before you begin, make sure your account meets both requirements:

Convert to a Business account: Personal Instagram accounts are not supported. See Instagram’s guide to switching account types.

Link to a Facebook Business Page: Your Instagram account must be connected to your <a href="https://www.facebook.com/business/help/connect-instagram-to-page" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Facebook Business Page</a> before you proceed.

Go to Settings → UGC → Your Meta Account → Instagram or Facebook.

Click Connect Meta Accounts. A pop-up will appear with a disclaimer.

1. If you see the Edit Access option, click Edit Access, make sure all accounts are selected, then click Continue.

In CrowdRiff’s pop-up, select the Instagram and Facebook Business account(s) you want to connect.

1. Go to Settings → UGC → Your Meta Account → Instagram or Facebook.
2. Click Connect Meta Accounts. A pop-up will appear with a disclaimer.
3. Click Continue to Meta.
4. Sign in to your Meta account.

5. In CrowdRiff’s pop-up, select the Instagram and Facebook Business account(s) you want to connect.
6. Click Connect Account to confirm.

Once connected, your accounts appear under your Meta Account settings and begin syncing content.

💡 Pro tip: After connecting Instagram, enable <a href="https://intercom.help/crowdriff-fbfec229598f/en/articles/13383791-how-do-i-automatically-mark-assets-from-my-own-account-as-rights-approved" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Auto rights-approve</a> to automatically mark assets from your own account as rights-approved. This saves you from requesting rights on content you already own.

Why is the Manage your business permission required?

This permission is necessary to support the new Facebook Page experience. Without it, the integration will not function correctly.

Enabling this permission does not grant posting access or direct account control. CrowdRiff will not post on your behalf or access your account directly. The permission is required only to ensure the connection works as intended.

How do I reconnect my social account to CrowdRiff?

If your connection has expired, reconnect it to keep your content syncing.

Open your browser in incognito or private mode. This helps avoid issues caused by cached login sessions.

Find the account that has expired and click the three dots.

Click Reconnect account. A pop-up will appear with a disclaimer.
