Are map CTAs separate from gallery CTAs?

Yes. CTAs function differently depending on where they're used:

  • Gallery CTAs are linked to individual assets (photos and videos).

  • Map CTAs are linked to places within a map.

CTAs are not interchangeable between galleries and maps.

Where can I monitor the performance of my map CTAs?

Comprehensive performance metrics for maps is available through View Analytics page shortly after release, giving you visibility into user engagement across your maps.

What metrics will be available in the Looker report?

You have access to key engagement data, including:

  • Number of views per map

  • Click-through engagement metrics

  • Overall interaction rates across selected time periods

Who is responsible for correcting inaccurate information on Google, such as misspelled names or streets?

Location details displayed in Maps come directly from Google's Place API. If you notice inaccurate information - such as a misspelled business name or incorrect street address - there are two ways to request a correction:

  • Business owners can update their own Google Business listing directly.

  • Any user can click Suggest an edit on Google Maps to submit a correction.

Once Google approves the change, it will automatically update in the Maps feature.

Why can I place a pin on a location marked as permanently closed?

Maps displays all available locations from Google's Place API, including those marked as permanently closed. This gives you full flexibility when building maps that may include:

  • Historical sites

  • Businesses that have changed status over time

You can use this complete dataset to make informed decisions about which locations to feature.

How can I display the street view of a location?

Street view is not currently available in the Maps feature. Maps uses Google's Place API integration rather than a full Google Maps embed. This focused approach is intentional — it keeps visitors engaged with your curated content rather than navigating away to explore street views independently.
