How do I request rights to use an Instagram asset?
You can start a rights request in two ways:
Hover over the asset and click Request to Use, or
Click into the asset and select Request to Use in the asset detail view.
What details do I need, and how do I generate the comment?
Fill in a few details so CrowdRiff can write a request that fits your use case.
Under Post request as, select the Instagram account that will post the comment.
Select the Language you want CrowdRiff to generate the comment in.
Select the Intended usage that matches where you'll use the asset, such as general marketing or organic social. The generated comment updates automatically to match your selection.
Review the comment and edit the text to fit your needs.
Usage intents are included in the comment. They are also tracked in the asset's Licensing tab and on the Usage Rights page.
How do I adjust a generated comment before sending?
Use Refine to give instructions that adjust any generated comment before you send it. You can fine-tune the wording so every request sounds like your brand. Each refinement creates a new version of the comment. Flip between versions to pick the one you like best.
Use the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons to tell us how well the generated comment meets your expectations. Your feedback helps us improve the results.

What happens after I generate the comment?
Post your comment on Instagram in a few clicks.
Click Copy & Open Instagram. CrowdRiff copies your comment and opens Instagram in a new tab.
Paste the comment into the post's comment box.
Post the comment.
❗ Heads up: Double-check that you're logged into the correct Instagram account. Instagram defaults to the account you used most recently.
How do I send rights requests for multiple assets at once?
Batch rights requests save you time when you're working through a large set of content. CrowdRiff generates and sends request comments one after another, for up to 15 posts at a time.
Select multiple assets.
Click Request Rights on the bulk action bar.
Review and send each generated request comment.
❗ Heads up:
Request Rights appears on the bulk action bar only when you've selected assets without rights.
CrowdRiff generates requests for 15 posts at a time.
If you select multiple assets from the same post, they count as 1 request.
If you select an asset that's part of a carousel, the request covers all assets in that post.
How many rights requests should I send?
To avoid being flagged as spam by Meta, send no more than 5 requests per hour and 15 per day. CrowdRiff warns you when you select more than 5 assets.
