How does CrowdRiff source and vet creators?

Every creator in the CrowdRiff Creators program is carefully selected, vetted, and trained by our team, so you get skilled storytellers who are a safe fit for your brand and know your brief.

How do creators find CrowdRiff?

We bring creators into the program in two ways:

  • Proactive outreach: We run online recruitment campaigns and reach out directly to creators on Instagram and TikTok whose work stands out.

  • Inbound interest: Many creators come to us through referrals and word of mouth from creators already in the program.

How does CrowdRiff vet creators?

Every creator goes through three steps:

  1. Application: Every creator fills out a detailed application covering their location, skills, social profiles, and experience.

  2. Manual review: Our team reviews every application by hand. We look at:

    • The quality of the content in their portfolio

    • Their ability to film steady, high-quality video

    • Their storytelling ability

  3. Invitation: Creators who are a strong fit are invited to join the program. Only about 1 in 10 applicants is accepted.

Do you consider follower count?

No. CrowdRiff Creators isn’t an influencer program. What matters is a creator’s ability to make strong, high-quality video, not the size of their audience.

Are creators checked for brand safety?

Yes. Every creator goes through a brand safety check when they join the program, and again every year after that. We review their social content to make sure they’re a safe fit for the brands they work with, so you can feel confident putting your brand in their hands.

How does CrowdRiff onboard new creators?

New creators complete two steps before taking on a large volume of work:

  1. CrowdRiff training: Before claiming their first assignment, every new creator completes our onboarding hub. The training covers:

    • Our content guidelines

    • Our creator code of conduct

    • What we expect on every shoot

    • What a complete delivery looks like

  2. Close review of first shoots: Once trained, creators can begin claiming requests from our customers. We closely review each new creator’s first few shoots to make sure they follow briefs and content guidelines, and that their work meets our standards before they take on more.

Can I choose which creators work with me?

Yes. In Settings, you can:

  • Set up a private creator pool so only creators you choose can see your requests

  • Add creators to your blocked creators list
